Prada, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs... This is what this young girl lives by and writes about. She has been all over the haute couture runways these past few months and making appearances on Fashion Television. Who would have thought that this little girl, Tavi Gevinson, would become such a HOT subject?
Simple.
She blogs about what she loves... FASHION. Blogging brought her to the biggest fashion shows and gave her the chance to interview some of the most popular designers, models and actors. I actually saw an interview she did with Elijah Wood on FT last week. Just amazing to see her along side with Jeanne Beker!
Which brings me to my fascination with social media. It is quite exciting to be living in an era where the Web 2.0 is enabling us to cross limits that were unattainable just a few years ago. And quite frankly, I am positive that blogging, which is an important facet of social media, brought Tavi Gevinson to become one of the top reviewer/reporter in the fashion world right now.
We are entering a world where sky really is the limit...
Check out her blog: Style Rookie.
Ok, i don't want to be negative or anything but...
ReplyDelete1. I don't like child celebrities. They get spoiled, they lose their innocence too soon and they have no childhood or teenage years AT ALL! Ask Lindsay Lohan!!!
2. Again Justin Bieber is too young to be on TV (my opinon). Sorry again but had to plug it in somewhere lol!
3. I hate to say this but how do we know she writes the content herself? Same thing could be said about my blog content and yours I know but still....
4. If she really writes all her posts herself, that's pretty good for a 13-years old! Reminds me when I was a high schooler and I ran this fansite for Nick Carter lol! Good times, long gone...
Oh and on a postive note, I really like your blog! :)
When I first saw Tavi, I thought she looked liked some old woman (because of the grey hair, the way she's dressed). When I found outshe was onl 13 yrs old and writting a popular fashion blog... I was shocked! These celebrity bloggers have become THE TARGET for marketers now, as it's their opinion that gives the seal of approval for many products that consumers will run out and buy.
ReplyDeleteBut for other fashion related stuff, I like to read Bryanboy.com (amusing fashion blogger), style.com, chictopia or sometimes I flick through The Satorialist.
Anyway, comming back to Tavi, if I was her age, I would milk it for all I can! haha. I mean she's not even passed puberty and she's already wining and dining with the who's who of fashion! Sounds like livin' the goodl ife to me!
